Life under Soviet rule, 1939-1941; murder of her parents and sister by Ukranians, after the Soviets fled and before the entry of the Germans; concentration of the Jews in the Sambor Ghetto, May 1942; hidden by a non-Jew in Cieplice and life using a false identity; joins a Ukrainian group; work in Weisskirchen and Sudetenland; work farming and as a translator for the local police; arrest in Reichenberg after her identity is exposed, August 1944; deportation to Auschwitz; life in Lager A as a political prisoner; joins the orchestra in Birkenau; transfer to Bergen-Belsen; typhus in Bergen-Belsen; liberation by the British Army, April 1945.
