Testimony of Ester (Swierzenska) Marchwinska, born in Mir, Poland, 1923, regarding her experiences in the Mir Ghetto, with the Marchwinski partisans in the Pletiszcze forest and in Latki German occupation; concentration of the Jews in the market square; execution of 19 Jews; murder of her father and brother with approximately 800 other Jews in an "Aktion", 09 October 1941; establishment of the Mir Ghetto; escape to a forest with many Jews with help from Oswald Rufeisen, a disguised Jew who served as chief of the local police; joins a partisan battalion under the command of the Pole, Marchwinski, later recognized a Righteous Among the Nations; murder of the Jewish partisans Israel Reznick, Abramski, Mordechai Greenvald and others by Soviet partisans in the forest; combat against the Soviet partisans; death of Dov Alperovitz in combat; burial of Alperovitz in the Pletiszcze forest; wounding of Marchwinski in combat in Latki; execution of a Jewish partisan by order of Danilo, the partisan commander, on the pretext of his having murdered a Soviet partisan; liberation, summer 1944.
