Testimony of Tzvi Harry Klafter Eyal, born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, 1925, regarding his experiences in Westerbork, wanderings and in hiding in Amsterdam Unsuccessful attempt by his family to escape to England, after the thwarting of their plans; detention of his father after he was informed on by a Dutch captain; deportation to Westerbork with his mother, January 1942; camp life including studies and preparation for matriculation exams by Jewish professors; deportations to Auschwitz and Theresienstadt; escape with his brother before the liquidation of the camp, September 1944; wanderings; life in hiding while hidden in Amsterdam by a widow named Wilhelmina Asbeek (later recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations); liberation. Attempts to make aliya to Eretz Israel; aliya to Eretz Israel with help from the Eretz Israel Jewish Brigade, 1946.
