Memoirs and documentation of Fred Efraim Saraga regarding the persecution of the Jews in Romania and Transnistria In the file: - Biographical report prepared by Dr. Ball-Kaduri regarding Fred Efraim Saraga, a leader of Jewish public life in Romania, in general, and the Autonome Hilfskommission (Autonomous Aid Committee) in particular. Saraga was active in providing aid to Romanian Jews who had been deported to Transnistria; he also organized a children's transport to Eretz Israel (pp. 2-4), October 1956; - Various articles written by Fred Efraim Saraga which appeared in the "Sliha" newspaper (published in Romanian in Israel) (pp. 5-108), March-July 1956; - Article written by Dr. Ball-Kaduri that appeared in the "Die Stimme" newspaper regarding his research on the fate of the Jews in Transnistria during World War II, in particular the deportation of Jews from Bucovina to Transnistria and across the Bug river (pp. 109-110), January 1961; - Article written by Jitchak Singer that appeared in the "Die Stimme" newspaper as a supplement to the January 1961 article written by Dr. Ball-Kaduri (p. 111), February 1961; - Obituary notices for Fred Efraim Saraga, (pp. 112-113), October 1961.
