Articles regarding the participation of Jewish athletes from Poland, including Izaak Jack Korenblit, in sports events organized by the Jewish Sports Club in Berlin in August 1936 – "Mecz Polska-Niemcy: dwu representatacji Makabi": Interview with Maksymiljan Schneider in preparation for the football match between the Maccabi Germany and Maccabi Poland teams, which was supposed to take place in Berlin. In the Maccabi Poland team, representatives of various sports clubs (such as Maccabi, Hakoach, Hashmonaim) appeared, including Kornblüth from the Lublin team of Hakoah. The interview was published in an unidentified Polish newspaper in the summer of 1936 – "Olympics Issue Evokes Memories of 1936": Article by Jack Korenblit published in an unidentified newspaper in the United States in 1980, in preparation for the Olympics in the USSR. In the article, the writer mentions his participation in the football match in Berlin in 1936 (as a member of Poland’s Jewish team) and the employment and documentation of the event for Nazi propaganda. Comments by the submitter of the material (Rachel Stekler): Izaak (Jack) Korenblit, grandfather of the submitter of the material, was born in Lublin in 1916. He played football for the Lublin Hakoach team. He studied in France and in 1936, when he was on a vacation from school, he arrived in Poland and was invited to join the Polish team in preparation for its participation in an international football and handball competition (Internationalen Fußball und Handball-Blitzturnier) organized by the Jewish Sports Club (JSK) in Berlin, to be held a week after the Berlin Olympics.
