The diploma was issued by the University of Bologna, 1939, and validated in Satu Mare, 1946; - Excerpts from the book "Zekhor et Saṭmar" (Yizkor book of the Satu Mare community), edited by Rabbi Naftali Stern, published in 1983. The excerpts relate to the history of Satu Mare Jews between the two world wars, the fate of the Jewish community during the Holocaust, and the Vamos family (Dr. Lazi Vamos survived and made aliya to Eretz Israel; his father Aharon Vamos passed away in Satu Mare in 1941; his mother Hermine and brother perished). In 1960, he made aliya to Israel, worked as a doctor in Haifa, and passed away in 1977.
