Life in Finale Emilia; anti-Jewish legislation in Italy: ban on working as a pharmacist; relatives escape to other cities in 1943; Ada, hospitalized in Modena due to illness, is unable to join them; moves to Asti, where her sister Giula is staying; arrested in 1944 and deported (apparently perishes aboard the deportation train).
