The Archive holds documents from the Ukrainian Republic Security Service (and the former Ukrainian Soviet Republic), from 1819 until the present day . The Archive holds documents from the Kiev headquarters and provincial branches of the Security Service. https://portal.ehri-project.eu/institutions/ua-003309 The documents scanned and sent to Yad Vashem include: - collections with protocols of interrogations and decisions of the NKVD investigation regarding collaborators and Jewish refugees in Ukraine; - investigation files of collaborators from the local population in Ukraine and in Crimea: claims regarding the murder of Jews in the regions of Zhitomir, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Mykolaiv, Kharkov, Khmelnitsky, Cherkassy, Chernivtsi, Chernigov, Ivano-Frankovsk from 1944-1948. The documentation regarding criminal cases of imprisoned Jewish refugees from Poland and Germany to the Soviet Union in Lvov in 1939-1941 includes detailed information about the defendants: biographies, photographs, fingerprints.
