Documentation from the State Archives of the Kherson Region, from 1916-1957 The documents include the following: - documents from numerous fonds in different historical periods in the Kherson region from 1916-1957. The fonds of executive committees attached to the working class for districts, regions and towns, and of Red Army soldiers' deputies' committees and their subdivisions and villages, reflect the process of formation of the Soviet government in the Kherson region. - documentation regarding the admission of Jewish specialists for membership of the Communist Party. - reports on the work of orphanages and vocational schools of the Kherson region, including those with Yiddish as the teaching language; project estimates, correspondence with the Kherson Region Labor Inspectorate, the Jewish Vocational Technical School regarding the reconstruction; the case of the inspection of technical working conditions of employees of the Lunacharsky theater and the small theater (former Jewish); population registration book, household books. The files contain information regarding the regime of the occupation, and population policies during the Holocaust. The fonds of the regional executive committee and city executive committees include documents that reflect the administrative and territorial changes in the Kherson region, and the restoration of the national economy after the war.
