Documentation from the Vilnius Regional State Archives - Utena Branch, Lithuania, 1944-1952 The records relate to the restitution of Jewish property after World War II. Preservation of documents of regional, state, municipal and non-state institutions and individuals in the Utena, Molėtai, Ignalina, Zarasai and Anykščiai districts, from 1944 until the present. The archives are also involved in the supervision of records management of local public institutions. The Yad Vashem Archives deal with digital archival documentation from the municipality of Utena, regarding the confiscation of Jewish property in 1940, persecution by the Nazis, and the return [restitution] of property to the survivors in 1952-1945. Records from the municipality of Utena, Courts of Law, notary offices for survivors' inheritance rights, facts related to the death (murder) of relatives, sales contracts, receipt of taxes, and the reimbursement of payment for the property, 1952-1944. Correspondence regarding the return [restitution] of property to the Jewish community: synagogues, prayer houses, and Jewish schools in the following places: Utena, Zarasai, Anykščiai, Dusetos, Salakas, Troškūnai and Viešintos. This is a joint project of the USHMM and Yad Vashem in 2016-2019.
