Documents relating to the period of the Republic of Lithuania (1918–1940): Record groups [fonds] of the Šiauliai Municipality, 1926–1933, and documents of the Šiauliai Tax Inspectorate, 1938–1940. Documents relating to the Nazi occupation period (1941–1944): from the Panevėžys county and district Courts of Law, labor inspectorates, the Biržai and Panevėžys county tax inspectorates, industrial enterprises and factories, directorates of state forests, vocational schools, and other institutions. Documents relating to the Soviet occupation periods (1940–1941 and 1944–1990): documents of local governments related to judicial matters, planning, statistics, finance, construction, transport, trade, education, culture, healthcare institutions, industrial enterprises, collective farms, state farms, public organizations, and other institutions active in the Šiauliai and Panevėžys counties. The Yad Vashem Archives deal with digital archival documentation from the municipality of Panevezis, regarding the confiscation of Jewish property in 1940, persecution by the Nazis, and the return [restitution] of property to survivors in 1947-1945. Records from the municipality of Panevezys, from Courts of Law, notary offices for survivors' inheritance rights, facts regarding the death (murder) of relatives, sales contracts, tax receipts, and the reimbursement of payment for property, 1945-1951. Personal files of taxpayers and property owners, arranged according to addresses in Šiauliai in 1938-1940. State notary offices in Šiauliai and regions in Lithuania: Šeduva, Zagare, Joniškėlis, Žagarė, Kelme, Linkuva, Radviliskis, and Zeimialis. Nationalization of real estate and unique property, return [restitution] of property to survivors; confirmation of the death of relatives, 1963-1945. This is a joint project between the USHMM and Yad Vashem.
