Documentation concerning evacuees, from the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, 1941-1950 Documentation concerning evacuees from various Soviet republics to Kyrgyzstan, 1941–1950—to Frunze, Kant, Osh, Kok-Yangak, Kaganovich, Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Alamudun, Tokmak, Karakol, Issyk Kul Region, and Tyan Shan - letters from evacuees about intake, measures taken to improve their economic situation, their living conditions, improvements in medical care, prevention of mortality due to faulty hygiene, and financial aid; - correspondence with the evacuation departments of the Soviet republics concerning manifestations of antisemitism and bullying, provision of heating, obtaining ration cards, aid in purchasing clothing and footwear, enrolling children in school, and permits for travel to other cities; - correspondence about the return of evacuees to liberated areas; - lists and information about the evacuees; - list of evacuated experts and leading farm workers sent to Ukraine from Kyrgyzstan, May 1944; - memoranda to the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan about the state of activity in orphanages, lists of pupils and teachers at the orphanages, and correspondence about tracing of relatives. Yad Vashem received this documentation in 2017 thanks to cooperation with the USHMM in a project concerning the acquisition of documentation related to the evacuation to the Soviet Union.
