Documentation from the State Archives of West Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan, 1941–1950 - Documentation about persons evacuated from the Soviet republics to Western Kazakhstan—the Uralsk, Burlinsky, Zelenovsky, Chingirlausky, Kamensky. Dzhanvebeksky. Kaztalovsky, Taipaksky, Chapaevsky, Terektinsky, Urdinsky, Dzhengalinsky, Furmanovsky, Chingirlausky, and Dzhambiteysky regions; - minutes of meetings of the Bureau of Regional Committees for matters relating to intake and hosting of evacuees and enterprises: list of Communists who arrived in the evacuation, lists of Party members and candidates, lists of evacuated doctors and other healthcare workers, lists of families and children, and deficiencies in receiving, accommodating, and employing the evacuated population; - correspondence with the Soviet republics' evacuation departments in matters related to tracing relatives, transporting evacuees at no charge, financial aid, and issuance of bread ration cards; - lists of persons released to liberated areas and records of evacuated Comsomol members; - decision of the Regional Administration Committee concerning the construction of rooms to accommodate the evacuated population and preparations for repatriation; - lists of Jews who were found with personal questionnaires from the former Party archives from 1939 to 1957 (covering most of the war years). Yad Vashem received this documentation thanks to cooperation with the USHMM in a project concerning the acquisition of documentation related to the evacuation to the Soviet Union.
