Testimony of Lisa Barblet Leibovich, born in Darabani, Romania, 1928, regarding her experiences in Darabani, Dorohoi and Mogilev Podolskiy A tradition-keeping family in Darabani, the Jewish town; two brothers and four sisters; kosher restaurant owned; community life; participation in Betar; Jewish school; Jewish assembly 35 km to train station. Deportation in trucks to Dorohoi, July 1941; deportation of men to Târgu Jiu concentration camp; deportation of women and children to Turnu Severin; deportation to Transnistria a few days later; mass mortality on the way; deportation with family members to the Mogilev Podolskiy ghetto; a ban on leaving the ghetto; forced labor; life in the ghetto; high density; food shortages; bribery of Romanian officers by the head of the community in the ghetto, collaborated by advocte Michael Danilov; sending her brothers to forced labor; death of her mother from typhus; hunger; survival of father and children. Back home after three years; the house is destroyed; move to Dorohoi; aliya to Israel on the ship "Transylvania", 1952.
