Childhood in Nitra before war; Slovakia becoming occupied by nazis,March 1939; persecutions of Jewish population; anti-Jewish legislation; wearing yellow badge; collecting of jews of Nitra,summer 1942; issuing certificate of"useful to the Slavak economy" for his father with help of manager of factory where he worked; family is taken off the deportation train thanks to father's certificate; further living under constant threat of deportation until 1944; changing hideouts in Nitra; moving to hide in Lehota pri Nitre; changing hideouts in Lehota pri Nitre; moving to hide in Ireg; capture and arrest; transfer to concentration place in Nitra; deportation to Auschwitz camp; seperation from mother; Avraham's stay in the"children's barracks"; starvation; abuse; survival difficulties; suffering from diseases; getting help from nurse of the camp clinic; front's approach; evacuation warning of a relative of the prisoners of the camp; hiding during evacuation; prisoners leaving camp on marches; liberation by red army,January26th,1945; wanderings in camp after liberation; Transfer of children to Katowice after a period of severak weeks; transfer to Slovakia; hospitalisation in hospital in Kosice; reunion with parents; aliya to Israel,1949; absorption.
