Childhood in modern orthodox religious family in Copenhagen; father owns a textile factory; German occupation,1940; moving to Jewish school; expulsion from school by the principal,September 1943; family's leaving to Danish non Jewish friend of father; with help of father, family gets on a small boat and sails on big ship to Sweden; getting to Malmo; life in Sweden from October 6th 1943 till May 4th 1945; return to Denmark; enrolment into the Danish brigade; guarding German prisoners in South Denmark,May 1945; studies from September 1945; safeguarding of property of Jews during their stay in Sweden; aliya to Israel via Paris and Milano on board an Italian ship,1948.
