Testimony of Reuven Noiman, born in 1931 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, about hiding in the mountains, obtaining an "Aryan" document, and living under a false identity until the end of the war Family background; father manages the Jewish National Fund account in Bratislava; life before the war; Bratislava bombarded in 1939; family moves from one apartment to another in town; witness sent to grandparents' home in Belke Visha in 1943; Slovak Uprising; mother and sister join witness in Belke Visha; hiding with other families in a castle; servant in the castle warns about approach of Germans bearing lists of names of hiding Jews; witness escapes into the mountains and goes into hiding; mother obtains a Mischling ("mixed-breed") document for the witness three weeks later; witness returns home with the false document under a false identity; war ends; Soviets move in; father returns from Theresienstadt; life after the war; immigration to Eretz Israel in 1946.
