Only daughter of a traditional family; livelihood of her father from trading in animal organs; move of her family to Oszmiana when she was seven years old; studying at a Polish school; activity in Hashomer Hatzair; outbreak of war in 1939; Soviet occupation of Oszmiana; studies in Russian ; invasion of the Soviet Union by the Wehrmacht in 1941; arrest of her father with other Jewish men and their murder; continuing to live at home in the ghetto with her mother; livelihood from the sale of valuables and clothing with the help of their former maid; deportation to the Molodeczno Ghetto; released from forced labor thanks to her drawing skills; drawing greeting cards for the Germans; receiving benefits; transfer with her mother to Stutthof; separation from her mother; life in the camp for one or two weeks; transfer to northern Germany; transfer to forced labor in clearing rubble; liberation; arrival in Bialystok; wanderings and arrival in Italy; aliya to Israel in 1948 during the War of Independence; recruited into the police; absorption.
