Testimony of Lili Ilana (Leibi) Salomon, born in Satu Mare, Romania in 1924, regarding her experiences in the Satu Mare Ghetto and in Birkenau and Ravensbruck camps Childhood in a religious family in Satu Mare; her father owns a farm; studies in a Jewish school and vocational high school; life without antisemitism; annexation of Satu Mare by Hungary 1940; confiscation of her father's business; transfer of her father to a labor battalion and his death in Ukraine; German occupation in March 1944; arrival of many people to her house in the ghetto; life in the ghetto without depravation; deportation in the third transport to Auschwitz-Birkenau at end of May 1944; witnessing the death of her mother; camp life in Lager C Block 20 ; transfer to the Gypsy camp; labor in digging pits; death march 18 January 1945; march for 3 days; transfer in open train to Ravensbruck; work in "Messerschmitt" factory in production of aircraft; liberation by British army; recuperation in army hospital; return to family home; destruction of her home in an air raid; aliya to Israel in 1950.
