His family's life in Tarnow; deportation to the Tarnow Ghetto with his mother in 1941; removal from the Tarnow Ghetto in a rucksack by a friend of his mother's in spring 1942; he is handed over to a woman acquaintance, and she hands him over to a Polish family in Krakow; life in the home of the Polish family until the end of the war; end of the war; move to Austria with his mother.
