Testimony of Reuven Roger Fridman, born in 1925 in Lille, France, about his experiences in Lille, Cherbourg, Alderney island, Dixmude, and Damkamie Childhood in Lille; secular family; does unskilled labor at an early age; German occupation of France ensues; life under occupation until 1942; arrested by gendarmes; deported with other Jews to Cherbourg; handed over to the Germans; deported to Alderney island; assigned to forced labor for Organisation Todt; transferred to Dixmude; liberated by the French Resistance in the vicinity of Damkamie; back to France in 1944; immigrates to Eretz Israel aboard the Tel Hai in 1946.
