Her childhood; studies in a Jewish school for two years and then in a Bulgarian primary school; good relations with the Bulgarian students; outbreak of the war; transfer of her father to forced labor; deportation of Jews from Macedonia via Plovdiv to camps; imposition of restrictions on Jews including curfews, restrictions on movement and wearing a yellow badge; transfer to forced labor; expulsion of Jewish students from school; early liberation by the partisans and later by the Red Army in 1944; joining Hashomer Hatzair; aliya to Eretz Israel via Turkey and Lebanon in 1944; absorption through Youth Aliyah.
