Testimony of Rafael Adler, born in Velatin, Czechoslovakia in 1923, regarding his escape to Budapest and while hiding in a protected house of the Swiss Embassy and in an abandoned building His childhood in an ultra-Orthodox family; studies in a heder and a yeshiva; his father is the principal of the heder in Rachov; activities in the Beitar movement in Velatin; re-annexation of Velatin to Hungary in 1939; transfer of two of his brothers to forced labor for the Hungarian Army; escape to Budapest; entrance into a protected house under the protection of the Swiss Embassy; receipt of forged documents; escape to an abandoned building nearby; liberation by the Red Army; return to Velatin; return to Budapest; aliya to Eretz Israel in 1946.
