Her family moved to live with her grandmother due to the difficult economic situation; the family members living in the grandmother's house were threatened; hiding for two days and escaping to an aunt in Timisoara, Romania, 1942; evicted from the house due to antisemitism; escaped towards Yugoslavia; the train was bombed; hiding in a local woman's barn; the Hitler Youth burst into the yard, summer 1944; liberation by the Red Army, August 1944. Aliya to Israel, 1970.
