Orthodox religious way of life; witness attends a cheder; family escapes to Antwerp; witness attends Tachkemoni School; Belgium occupied; witness escapes to Bagnères-de-Luchon, in the south of France; arrested; deported to the Rivesaltes camp; separated from parents; placed in the Bagnères-de-Luchon children's home with help from the OSE; exfiltrated to Switzerland; life at the Henri Dunant center in Geneva; immigration to Eretz Israel via France after the war in 1945; rehabilitation and adjustment to life in Eretz Israel.
