Testimony of Albert Avraham Levi, born in 1937 in Lyon, France about hiding in Souzy village with a French Christian peasant family Childhood in Lyon; life under Vichy rule in 1940; German occupation ensues in 1942; father affected and deported to the Miramas camp in 1943; life under a false identity aided by bogus documents; moving to aunt's house in Lyon; father escapes from the camp and returns to Lyon in 1944; witness and aunt's family hide with a French peasant family, the Bonhommes, in Souzy village; life in the village; father arrested and deported by the Gestapo in Lyon; father banished to the Drancy camp; father deported to Estonia or Lithuania; mother and younger sister arrested and deported to Drancy and Auschwitz; liberation by Allied forces; witness returns from Souzy to Lyon; aunt's family; witness placed in an orphanage in Combloux in 1945; moves to a Jewish orphanage in Aix-les-bains, run by the Communist Party, in 1946; immigrates to Israel in 1959; adjusts to life in Israel.
