Documentation of anti-Nazi emigree organizations from Germany and Austria that were active in Paris, 1936-1940 This Record Group was set up in the Osoby Archive in Moscow and includes files of a number of German emigee organizations that were active in Paris. - Files of emigee organizations (Frames 1004-1151) including the Fédération des Emigrés provenant d'Autriche and the Ligue Autrichienne (in German: Oesterreichischen Liga) containing correspondence, fliers, administrative material and reports regarding the Austrian refugees in France, 1938-1940. One of the files (Frames 1026-1114) includes a kind of card catalogue with itemization of the positions and administrative bodies in the camps, including details concerning the administrative demands of the work; - A number of files of the Aktionsausschuss deutscher Oppositioneller which was founded in Paris, 25 March 1939; - File (Frames 1474-1849) of Der Bund Freie Presse und Literatur (BFPL), which was also known as the Verband unabhängiger deutscher Schriftsteller und Journalisten im Exil, which was active in Paris; the file contains organization fliers and informational leaflets (an additional leaflet can be found in a separate file of one page, Frame 1125), and editions of the periodical, "Das neue Tagebuch" from the years 1937-1938; - File (Frame 1551-1583) of the Federation des Emigres d'Allemagne en France (in German: Arbeitsgemeinschaft der deutschen Emigration in Frankreich) founded after the Internationalen Konferenz der deutschen emigranten, which was held in Paris, June 1936. The file contains material regarding the conference, decisions made during the conference and an informational leaflet for the participants, a constitution and guidelines for activities determined by the organization itself as well as a report written by several of the members dealing with emigees from Germany and their activities from various points of view. Also in the collection: - A small file (frame 997-10,023) of the Organization of Croatian emigees, which was active in Paris, 1920; - A small file (Frames 1438-1453) of the Verband der Russlanddeutschen organization, 1937-1941; this was a pro-Nazi organization of ethnic Germans born in the Soviet Union. It appears that the file was incorporated accidentally into this Record Group at the Osoby Archive in Moscow. This file includes administrational material, such as invoices and postal receipts and a number of questionnaires of organization members.
