From an Orthodox religious family, originally from Poland, In Brussels; outbreak of the war; life under German occupation in 1940; arrest and deportation of her father to Malines after he was informed on; transfer to several orphanages with help from non-Jewish neighbors; transfer to a children's home in Aiche en Refaile in the Namur area; liberation by the US Army in 1944; life after the war.
