Testimony of Eliezer Leon Fishman, born in Cernauti, Bucovina, Romania in 1932, regarding his deportation to Transnistria, to Dzhurin His childhood before the war; entrance of the Russians [Soviets], 1940; entrance of the Germans and Romanians, and the Great Synagogue is set on fire, summer 1941; deportation to the [Cernauti] Ghetto for a short period of time; deportation to Transnistria, to Dzhurin; living conditions; diseases; labor in a sugar factory; arrival of the partisans, and liberation by the Red Army, 1944; return to Cernauti, and move from there to Radauti; he joins the Gordonia movement; attempt to make illegal aliya on the "Pan York" ship; exile to Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, approximately one month later; adjustment.
