Transport No. 11, labeled Da 29, departed from the Aspangbahnhof in Vienna on November 23rd, 1941, at 5:30 pm. It arrived on November 26th, 1941 at Kaunas (its original destination had been Riga). A few days prior to their deportation, the Jews had to report at an assembly camp (Sammellager) that was set up in the Jewish school at Kleine Sperlgasse 2, in the second district in Vienna (Wien).
The transport consisted of 1000 Jews, 309 of them older than 61 years. The average age of the deportees was 52. On November 29th, they were all murdered at Fort IX....
