Rail car attached to a regular passenger train
Theresienstadt,Ghetto,Czechoslovakia
In June 1944, three months following the transport of seven women that departed on March 15, the Gestapo in Frankfurt am Main sent out a transport comprising one man only. According to the ghetto records, this transport reached Theresienstadt on June 14. We have no information about its date of departure, but presumably it was June 13 since, in cases of individual transports, the Gestapo would reserve a compartment in a regular passenger train from Frankfurt via Dresden and Prague which was due to arrive within a day.
In the Theresienstadt ghetto records, the transport is referred to as XII/7Ez, the Roman numeral XII denoting Frankfurt am Main.
