In 1945, the Dortmund Gestapo managed to launch two final transports to Theresienstadt. The second one departed in February and consisted of 10 Jews. It arrived on February 20. There are no known documents attesting to the exact date of departure but, considering the difficult transportation conditions, the numerous refugees at the railway stations and the massive Allied bombardments, it may be assumed that the train left some time between February 15 and 17.
Upon arrival in Theresienstadt, the transport was registered under the number X/5. The Roman numeral X referred to the city of Dortmund.
