Transport V/7 from Dresden, Dresden (Dresden Bautzen), Saxony, Germany to Theresienstadt, Ghetto, Czechoslovakia on 22/09/1942

The seventh and last of these transports departed from Dresden on 22 September 1942 and arrived in Theresienstadt later the same day. There were 27 people on this transport including one old woman from the town of Grossenhain. Prior to the deportation the majority of those deported had been forced to live in houses designated for Jews only, the “Judenhäuser”. The deportees were between 9 and 79 years old. Apart from Martin Mutschmann, there were other key figures involved in the execution of this transport: Henry Schmidt, the head of the Dresden Department for Jewish Affairs in the RSHA, was likely the person most involved in the deportations of Jews from the city.
