These transports usually consisted of the relatives of members of the Jewish council in Theresienstadt, Jews arrested by the Gestapo, or Jews who had been brought to Prague from other cities in the Protectorate. The two deportees on board of Ez St 39 were Marianna Charmatzová, born in 1908, and her daughter Marie Eva Charmatzová, born 1934. Both had lived in Prague prior to their deportation.
