Transport from Glowno, Camp, Poland to Berlin, Berlin (Berlin), City of Berlin, Germany on 06/04/1940

Transport
Departure Date 06/04/1940 Arrival Date 06/04/1940
The fourth group left Glowno together with the so-called "Judentransportgruppe No. 475" (Jewish transport group No. 475). This group consisted of three people: Emma Tobias, née Oppenheim, the widow of Sally Tobias, from Schönlanke; Bernhard Rosenstrauch, from Rose (Roza Wielka) in the district of Deutsch Krone (Wałcz); and Johanna Rosenstrauch, from the village of Groß Garde (Gardna Wielka). It is not known if the two Rosenstrauchs were related. The group of three originally figured on the list of the UWZ for transport No. 475, left together by bus up to the border (probably until Bentschen [Zbąszyń]) which belonged to the Wartheland Landkreis Grätz [Grätz county]), and then were separated from the group. Maybe they were taken out of the group because of their age: the Rosenstrauchs were both over 70; Emma Tobias was 64. All three were taken by train, guarded by a Gestapo officer, and finally led to the old-age home at Friedenstrasse 3 in Berlin. Bernhard Rosenstrauch was further deported on August 19, 1942, with the 45th transport (No. I/47) from Berlin to Theresienstadt, where he died two months later. Johanna Rosenstrauch was also deported to Theresienstadt, on November 20, 1942, with the 75th transport. Two years later she was deported to Auschwitz, where she was murdered. Emma Tobias was deported with transport No. I/94 from Berlin to Theresienstadt. On May 18, 1944, she was transported from there to Auschwitz, where she was murdered.
