Petr Ginz was deported to the Terezin Ghetto at age 14. In the Ghetto, the gifted youngster, who dreamed of becoming a scientist or an artist, edited the youth paper Vedem. For two years Petr remained alone until his sister, Eva, was also deported to Terezin. Several months later, in September 1944, Petr was transported to his death at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
His rich and singular inner world, his dreams and hopes, were given expression in the many stories, poems, articles and paintings he left behind.
