The synagogue in Bruchsal, Germany, was renovated and decorated by the Jewish-German painter Leo Kahn in 1927-1928. This collection includes photos of the decorated synagogue’s interior, and photos of the painter in the process of decorating.
The synagogue was demolished on 10/11/1938, during Kristallnacht.
Leo Kahn was born in 1894 in Bruchsal, Germany. During World War I he fought with the German army. He was seriously injured in the Battle of Verdun. He started studying painting in 1918,
